Igniting young people’s imaginations with inspiring speakers from the worlds of Film, Gaming and Animation.
Learn and build skills, while having fun, with insights into the film Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget (Aardman Animation). Plus, games development workshops, virtual production facility demonstrations and an inspiring panel discussion on future opportunities with Northern Ireland Screen and early career creative professionals from throughout the industry. Helping young people take the next step in their creative career.

10:00 - 10:45 - Into Film, Story Builder Games Workshop (Stage 1)
Being the first of two stages, this workshop will support young people in designing a game around any topic.
11:00 - 11:45 - 3D Modelling Workshop (Stage 2)
Taking game development outcomes from the first stage, participants will have the opportunity to 3D model and create their own game characters in Maya.
11:45 - 12:00 - Virtual Production Studio Demonstration
A unique opportunity for participants to receive a practical demonstration of Ulster Universities state of the art Virtual Production Studio, representing the future of film making.
12:15 - 12:45 - Keynote - Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (Aardman Animations)
The making of the much loved animated feature film with Director and Lead Character Animator Suzy Fagan Parr.
12:45 - 13:15 - LUNCH
13:15 - 14:00 - Panel Discussion: Opportunities in Northern Ireland
A mix of panelists including early career creative professionals alongside N.I. Screen, will discuss and share the current and emerging opportunities in Northern Ireland’s screen industry. Helping inform young people on that next step in their creative career.
