Dermot Burns
Dermott is Real-time Artist/Designer and Concept Artist, based in the UK.
A graduate of Ulster University and MA Graduate at Bournemouth University in animation and design, Dermott started his career in the animation industry, working on short films using real-time rendering for Belfast Studio Taunt. He then moved on to the games industry where he worked on titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as an Environment artist. He has since worked in the film industry as a real-time artist at Framestores Immersive team, working on various projects in Film, Immersive displays, VR/Theme park rides and advertising.
Throughout his career, Dermott has worked as a lead on the short film 'Ennui', directed a short animation for BBC, and Directed a short film 'Forest' that has gone on to win awards at various film festivals.
Dermott currently works remotely for The Chinese Room as a Video Game Environment Artist.
